Terms of Service

The terms and conditions governing your use of Auerbach International’s services and website.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the website of Auerbach International, Inc. (“Auerbach International,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) at auerbach-intl.com, or by engaging our translation, interpretation, or other language services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services

Auerbach International provides professional translation, interpretation, localization, transcription, subtitling, dubbing, and related language services. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing for each project will be agreed upon in writing prior to commencement of work, either through a formal quote, purchase order, or service agreement.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time without notice or liability.

3. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes provided by Auerbach International are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise specified. Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of the request. If the scope of work changes after a quote is issued, pricing may be adjusted accordingly.

Rush fees may apply for projects requiring expedited turnaround. Certification fees apply to translations requiring a Certificate of Accuracy. These fees will be disclosed in the project quote.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms are as specified in the project quote or invoice. For new clients, payment in full may be required prior to project commencement. For established clients, net 30 payment terms may be available upon credit approval.

Late payments may be subject to interest charges of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate permitted by law, whichever is less. We reserve the right to suspend services for accounts with outstanding balances.

5. Client Responsibilities

To ensure the highest quality translations, clients agree to:

  • Provide clear, legible source documents in a timely manner
  • Provide reference materials, glossaries, or style guides when available
  • Disclose any specialized terminology or industry-specific requirements
  • Review and approve translated content within the agreed timeframe
  • Notify us promptly of any errors or concerns with completed work

6. Revisions and Quality Guarantee

Auerbach International stands behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with a completed translation, please notify us in writing within 30 days of delivery. We will review your concerns and, if warranted, provide revisions at no additional charge.

Revision requests must be based on errors in the translation itself (mistranslations, omissions, grammatical errors) and not on stylistic preferences that were not communicated prior to project commencement.

7. Confidentiality

Auerbach International treats all client documents and project information as strictly confidential. We will not disclose the contents of your documents to any third party except as necessary to provide the requested services. All linguists working on your projects are bound by confidentiality agreements.

Clients agree to keep confidential any proprietary information, pricing, processes, or methodologies disclosed by Auerbach International in the course of providing services.

8. Intellectual Property

Upon receipt of full payment, clients receive full ownership of the completed translation. Auerbach International retains no rights to the translated content. However, we reserve the right to reference the client relationship (without disclosing confidential content) for marketing purposes, unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Auerbach International and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

Auerbach International’s liability for any claim arising from the provision of services shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. In no event shall Auerbach International be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, government actions, natural disasters, or communication failures.

10. Cancellation Policy

Projects may be cancelled by the client with written notice. Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • Cancellation before work begins: No charge
  • Cancellation after work has begun: Payment for work completed to date
  • Cancellation of rush projects: Full project fee may apply

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Contra Costa County, California.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on our website with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
